Lead the Change in Construction Culture

Register Your Interest in the RISE Program

Construction is changing, and this is your chance to lead that change.

EPIC, with support from Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), has launched the RISE Program.

This is a first-of-its-kind, AI-powered unconscious bias training, focused on creating psychologically safe, inclusive workplaces in the construction industry.

What Is the Program?

A targeted, CSQ-supported initiative to tackle some of the industry’s biggest cultural challenges:

- Sexual Harassment

- Bullying

- Intimidation

- Discrimination

- Inequity

Delivered via cutting-edge AI adaptive learning technology, the program personalises training to every learner, from apprentices to executive leadership and ensuring everyone achieves 100% conscious competency.

It’s not about ticking boxes. This is about culture transformation through behavioural change, to improve workforce retention rates and create more safer, respectful and inclusive workplaces.

Why It Is Needed?

Australians Employed
0 M

in Construction

GDP Contribution
0 %

from the sector

New Workers Needed
0 K

within 5 years

Women in Workforce
0 %

current representation

Yet, retention remains one of the biggest challenges.

Behind these numbers lie systemic issues including harassment, bullying, bias, burnout and inequity.

Why It Matters Now?

The WHS Act (April 2023) places a legal obligation on employers to eliminate or reduce psychhosocial hazards.

Regulators are already issuing notices and penalties for non-compliance.

Wellbeing and productivity are now strategic imperatives, not HR initiatives.

Cost of Inaction:

25-30% turnover rates +100,000 leaving the industry every year

equals billions lost each year

Productivity Losses

Workplace culture issues cost the industry $8B per year nationally

Each resignation costs 1.5x the salary

in recruitment, onboarding and downtime.

Psychosocial claims

Cost 4x more than physical injuries and average 34 weeks, creating significant operational disruption.

What Are The Key Aspects of Adaptive Learning?

Utilises Rhapsode technology, the world leaders in AI adaptive learning.

13+ years experience, in 27 countries, testing 8B data points and acting as a personal tutor for each learner.

Used by contruction, mining, healthcare and finance companies.

Key Benefits:

40-50% faster learning

vs traditional eLearning.

Engagement up by 60%

High interactivity and personalisation.

Proficiency tracking

each learner achieves 100% conscious competency.

Identifies “unconscious incompetence” – where people think they know but don’t – and corrects it in real time.

“I didn’t think that was sexist, but now I realise it is.”

That’s the moment transformation and behaviour change happens.

Impact

Real-time analytics reveal where learners are struggling, e.g., recognising casual sexism or bystander roles.

This comprehensive data and analytics platform offers extensive insights to monitor progress, measure effectiveness, and support continuous improvement based on real-time feedback. Company dashboards show aggregated insights into cultural competency and learning outcomes.

Personalised Learning for Individuals

Modules identify and address individual unconscious biases, guiding participants from unconscious incompetence to 100% conscious competence.

Improved Operational Behaviour

Enhances overall awareness, engagement, and operational behaviour, resulting in more collaborative and productive work environments.

Seamless Integration with Existing LMS

Easily integrates into current Learning Management Systems.

ROI

A 20-minute adaptive learning course delivers a personalised learning journey, which is equivalent to 2-3 hours of traditional training, yet achieves a deeper knowledge retention and measurable behaviour change.
