CEO & Founder
Angela Hucker
30 Years in Construction
The Journey
Built from on site, not from a consulting firm
Early Years
Angela’s career journey started at a young age, working in her family’s commercial landscaping business, before moving into managing a chain of locksmith stores in Brisbane. She was one of only two females in Queensland trained in complex locksmithing systems.
FIFO & Major Projects
Almost a decade as a FIFO worker across oil and gas, undersea electricity interconnectors, civil, engineering, renewables, power generation, water management, commercial construction, government initiatives, and major international projects across the Middle East, Asia and Pacific.
The Turning Point
Angela’s first hand experiences as a FIFO worker in remote locations exposed her to the challenges faced by women in the industry, including harassment, discrimination, bullying, inequity and intimidation. Her commitment to addressing these psychosocial hazards led to the founding of EPIC.
